That Bus Woman

Post:This happened to me earlier today and it has been bugging me ever since, so I feel I have to make this topic to clear my system. It's only something small but it has aggrevated me.

Basically I was standing at the front of a bus queue, I was only at the front because I casually walked to the gate where the bus had arrived, before anyone else. There I proceeded to read my book as I waited for the bus doors to open. When they did the woman behind me broke my peace, making me look up from my book saying that;

"I shouldn't be so rude and should allow the people who have been waiting longer to get on the bus first".

Little to her knowledge, these were my intentions anyway, because I am a polite person and I also wanted to finish the chapter of my book before getting on. I made a comment about how I didn't care who got on the bus first, everyone would be getting on anyway - waved to let her go past and put my head back in my book.

Then as if to show that she was in fact well mannered, let everyone except me get on the bus before her as she was going to take a while sorting out her ticket and change.

It just annoys me that someone like that can be so rude without cause. And she thought she was doing the right thing as well, which made it worse.

Well it's out now. I'll go back to thinking about more important things such as post-exam celebrations.
